How to separate Chihuahuas and when and how to separate them

Chihuahua potting time

Chihuahuas can be separated into pots when the weather is cool. The climate at this time is cooler, which is conducive to the healing of wounds.

The correct way to divide the Chihuahua pot

1. Remove the pot

If the pot is not changed for a long time, the soil and the pot will stick together. It is not easy to remove the pot. First, we pat the surroundings of the pot with our hands to break the connection between the soil and the pot. Then prepare a small shovel to loosen the soil and rotate it along the inner wall of the pot to completely break the connection between the soil and the pot.

2. Root pruning

After removing the plant from the pot, you can promptly prune the roots, trim the lateral roots, aging, or rotten roots. After pruning, soak the roots in a fungicide solution for 10 minutes and then place them in a ventilated place to dry.

3. Planting in pots

The soil for growing Chivalrous lotus can be prepared with peat soil, vermiculite, Akadama soil, coconut coir and bone meal. It is not only loose and fertile, but also breathable and has good drainage effects. After mixing, it can be planted in a pot. After potting, compact the soil, then water it once to help it take root, place it in a cool and ventilated place, and after it adapts to the environment, maintain it in a place with scattered light.

Chihuahua division and repotting

First, you need to put the pruning tools in potassium permanganate solution or wipe them with medical alcohol for disinfection. When changing the soil, trim the roots and apply wood ash on the wound. After the wound is slightly dry, you can plant it in the prepared flowerpot and place it on a well-ventilated balcony for maintenance. When new leaves grow, change the pot with the soil and maintain it normally.

Things to note when transplanting Chihuahuas

1. After trimming the roots of Chihuahuas, you can apply wood ash, sulfur powder, etc. on the wounds, dry them in a well-ventilated place for 3 to 7 days, and then put them in pots after the wounds heal.

2. We can add peat, perlite, bone meal, leaf mold, garden soil and slag into the soil to mix it, which has high nutritional value.

3. We should transfer it to a semi-shaded environment with a temperature of about 20°C for maintenance in time. It may also be due to excessive watering. At this time, watering should be stopped and it should be moved to a well-ventilated place. The soil in the pot should be dried and wait for it to recover.
