Black rot of succulent plants can be brought back to life with just one trick, and you don’t have to worry about it until summer!

Succulent black rot

The weather has been hot and cold recently, and it is difficult to control watering. Succulents are prone to breeding bacteria, which then develop into black rot!

The fleshy plants in the picture below have black spots

The leaves of the succulent plant in the picture below are black and falling off

The picture below shows a severe black rot lesion

How to treat succulents after black rot?

1. Minor black rot, timely treatment, keep ventilation and dry

The leaves of succulent plants begin to turn yellow and fall off from the outer circle. At this time, you should pay attention to whether it is a precursor to black rot.

Crowded leaves are more likely to transmit bacteria, so remove the diseased leaves immediately.

It is easy to leave wounds when removing leaves. Putting them in a semi-shaded and ventilated place is conducive to recovery and healing.

2. Moderate black rot, be careful of root rot

I found that the roots of the leaves of the succulents turned black, so I quickly dug up the succulents and checked the roots.

If the roots are fine, remove the diseased leaves and leave the healthy parts.

After picking the leaves, place them in a ventilated place to allow the wound to heal.

At this time, you should reduce watering. Water about 10 ml around the root of the succulent every 2-3 days.

If you dig up the meat and find that the roots are rotten,

Just cut off the rotten roots and pull out the dead leaves

The remaining ones need to be soaked in rooting water because their roots are too damaged (2000 ml of water mixed with 1g of rooting powder)

You can add a filter to the container (a clean screen will do)

Is it just right to put some meat in there?

Generally, it will take 3-5 days to soak, and then you can continue planting.

3. Severe black rot, resurrection

Ouch, this patch of meat looks seriously damaged, let’s dig it up and take a look!

The roots are completely rotten, what can I do?

It doesn’t matter, just soak in rooting water! It fits perfectly on the mouth of a mineral water bottle.

Ordinary canning bottles plus plastic wrap, a rooting rack is ready~

At this time, it needs to be soaked for 5-10 days before a healthier root system will grow. After the rooting, it can be planted in the soil

My life is back~ I have to treat it well this time

4. Severe black rot, no cure

The ones with more serious problems have all fallen apart and there is no way to save them┐(゚~゚)┌

Succulent water

A humid and hot environment or excessive watering may cause the leaves of the succulent to melt.

There is no regular pattern for water melting. Sometimes it starts from the center.

Some start melting from the bottom

The leaves melt quickly and are contagious, so you need to treat them as soon as possible.

1. Slightly dissolve water, remove leaves, and pay attention to ventilation

If you find any waterlogged leaves, carefully remove them.

After picking the leaves, place the succulent in a cool and ventilated place, stop watering temporarily, and water again after 4-6 days.

2. Moderate water and check the roots

When you find obvious waterlogging, dig out the meat immediately.

Remove the damaged leaves and rotten roots.

The remaining ones are healthy enough to be planted again. Also remember to place them in a cool and ventilated place and don't water them for the time being.

3. Heavy watering, rooting and replanting

The roots were found to have rotted.

Just cut off the rotten parts and leave the flower heads.

Prepare to soak the rooting water

It takes about 5-10 days for the roots to grow.

Now you can repot it.

3. Severe waterlogging, no way to save the situation

The picture below shows the whole tree melting into water. There is nothing Huahua can do about it, so she can only take a photo as a souvenir~

The weather is getting hotter

The situation of the meat meat is getting more and more

Flower lovers can come to Huahua to communicate more often.
