Why petunias don't bloom

Why petunias don't bloom

1. Moisture

Before and after the flowering period, special attention should be paid to the water factor. If there is insufficient water to meet the needs of flowering, the plant will not bloom; similarly, if it is waterlogged and the roots are damaged, it will not bloom either. Specifically, it is always correct to follow a general principle, which is "water when the soil is dry, but don't let it get too wet". In other words, an adequate supply of water is necessary, but it should not be too waterlogged. Moderation and suitability are the keys to flowering.

2. Light

If the light is very dim before and after the flowering period, it will be difficult for the plant to bloom because photosynthesis will be very weak. Therefore, what we need to do is to provide sufficient light to allow it to fully carry out photosynthesis and accumulate enough nutrients.

3. Temperature

This is easy to understand. If the temperature is not suitable, or even if it is frozen, it will be almost impossible to make it bloom. Then, control the temperature at around 20 degrees to provide sufficient guarantee for its flowering.

4. Fertilizer

It may not be particularly important at ordinary times, but it is very necessary during the flowering period. If it is not applied appropriately, it may not provide sufficient nutrients for flowering. Therefore, it is best to spray some (KH2SO4) solution during the bud stage, which will help it bloom, and make it big and beautiful.

5. The timing is not right

Sometimes, due to the variety, or the special climate of the local area or the year, the plant will indeed delay flowering. As long as all factors are suitable, it will always bloom.
