Common diseases and pests of green treasure tree and their prevention and control methods

1. Diseases and their prevention and treatment

1. Leaf spot

If there is no ventilated and breathable atmosphere created for it during the hot and rainy summer season, it will easily be infected with this disease.

2. Disposal measures

The air circulation and light should be strengthened, and water should not be allowed to accumulate on the leaves for a long time. If there are only a few diseased leaves, remove and burn them immediately. Spray it with 50% carbendazim every 15 days for three or four times, and it will recover. If you keep it at home, you can apply Daknin cream in the early stages of the disease, which will be helpful.

2. Pests and their control

1. Scale insects

If the temperature and humidity are very high, and there is no ventilation or air permeability, especially in autumn and winter, if you keep it in a greenhouse for a long time, the trunk and leaves will easily be infested with this insect.

Treatment method: ventilate it and control humidity. If there are few insects, you can remove them directly, for example using transparent tape. If there are a lot of insects, spray with 25% of cypermethrin. Other drugs like chlorpyrifos are also very effective.

2. Mites

Common symptoms are new leaves that are wrinkled, curled up, and have an uneven surface. It usually occurs from June to September. If the weather is hot and dry, this type of insect will occur. If it is relatively humid, it will rarely occur.

Treatment method: You can use a mite-killing agent such as Mite Cleaner, or other mite-killing drugs.

3. Aphids

One of the most common insects is the green peach aphid. If this insect occurs, the leaves will become deformed and wrinkled, and translucent honeydew spots can be seen. This insect can be seen with the naked eye.

Treatment method: Spray with omethoate, or dimethoate, etc.

3. Daily maintenance

It is suitable for growing under conditions of 20 to 30 degrees. If it is higher than 30 degrees, it is necessary to use a shelter to block the sun, sprinkle water on the surrounding environment, or move it to a windy and cool area. If the temperature is below ten degrees, move it home or into a greenhouse. It cannot be lower than five degrees, otherwise it will damage the leaves. If you keep it in a dark area for a long time, it will easily shed its leaves. If you keep it at home, you can put it in a high place with light in winter to help it receive light.
