What to do if the Star Cactus becomes thin

What to do if the Star Cactus becomes thin

1. Caused by planting materials

The star-shaped plant does not like planting materials with too coarse particles, because if the gaps in the planting material are too wide, it will be difficult for its fibrous roots to absorb water, and its growth will slow down or sometimes it will stop growing. Therefore, the star-shaped plant will be easier to become thin. We can solve this problem based on this reason and replace its planting material.

2. Caused by improper watering

The star-shaped flower prefers a drier environment and is very tolerant of drought. If we who don't know much water it, the fine roots of the star flower will begin to turn yellow or rot. So if this is the reason, we must put it in a ventilated place and never water it too much. We must control the amount of watering according to its absorption. Wouldn’t Xingdou not lose weight this way?

3. Caused by improper lighting

During its growth process, the star flower generally needs a place with more sunlight, so if you put it in a dark place or you don’t let it get enough sun in the summer, it will affect its growth and make it thinner. So at this time we have to put it in a place with sufficient light to allow it to grow better.

4. Caused by too low temperature

If you do not ensure the temperature it requires when raising it, but keep it in a relatively low temperature environment, it will easily cause the roots of the Starry Sky cactus to begin to rot, which will directly cause it to become thinner or even die. Therefore, it is also very important to provide appropriate temperature.

5. Caused by the flower pot being too big

When growing star fern, you need to check whether your flowerpot is too big. If it is too big, it will not be able to absorb water after watering, causing the air in the pot to become particularly blocked, which will easily cause its roots to rot. So at this time you need to change to a smaller flower pot.
