How to Plant Coriander Seeds

Coriander Seeds Introduction

Coriander will bloom and bear fruit after overwintering. The fruits will mature around May every year, and the seeds will grow inside them. When mature, the seed pods will naturally burst and spread the seeds. However, if you want to save the seeds, you must harvest them in advance.

Coriander seed planting time

Coriander is a vegetable that likes a warm environment. Its seeds are sown in spring and autumn, in March-April or September. The warmer temperature at this time is conducive to the growth of the plant.

Coriander seed planting method

1. Site selection and land preparation

Coriander has high requirements for the planting location. It is best to plant it in a fertile and loose area with high organic matter content. Deep plowing should be carried out before planting, and an appropriate amount of base fertilizer should be added.

2. Sowing and seedling raising

Before planting, rub off the skin of coriander seeds, soak them in warm water for 24 hours, then wrap them in a wet cloth and place them in an environment of 15-20℃ for germination.

3. Sowing

After the seeds germinate, they can be sown. First, water the soil, then spread the coriander seeds evenly in the field, cover them with fine soil and plastic film, and then remove the plastic film when 3-4 leaves grow.
