Why are the leaves of a bunch of red small and yellow?

The yellowing of the leaves of Salvia officinalis is mostly due to improper maintenance and neglect of small details. If you want the plant to grow well, you need to pay attention to the following points:

Watering Correctly

The red sage is moisture-resistant and drought-resistant, and a relatively dry environment is more conducive to its growth. The light is strong during the day and the water evaporates quickly, so you can water it appropriately and then place it in the sun to receive sunlight. At night or even on rainy days, the leaves of the salvia shrink and will not absorb water, so watering it will be useless.

Therefore, try not to water the plant in the sun, and do not water it in the evening or at night. Avoid overwatering which may cause yellow leaves.

Apply fertilizer at the right time

Impatiens loves fertilizer. It is necessary to fertilize frequently before flowering and apply a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer during the flowering period. This can make the leaves green, the plants short and strong, and have more branches. When applying fertilizer, you can apply appropriate amount of decomposed animal manure.

The amount of fertilizer to be applied is critical. If the plant lacks fertilizer or has too much fertilizer, the leaves will turn yellow. The usual practice is to water while applying fertilizer to dilute the fertilizer and avoid fertilizer damage.

Reduce light

Amaranth likes sunlight, generally from morning to 12 noon, sunlight for 5 hours. In the afternoon, put the plant in a cool place to let it rest. Adopting this half-shade and half-sun environment, the plants grow healthily. However, if the plant's exposure to sunlight is too long or too short, the leaves will become dull and lifeless, so it is important to control the exposure time.

Raising buds

The leaves of the impatiens plant are very likely to turn yellow before and after it blooms, and the buds need to be nurtured at this time. Keep the soil in the pot moist, place the plant indoors for maintenance, and when the flower buds turn red, move it to the sun. After this treatment, it will bloom more and the colors will be bright.
