Disease and Pest Control of Viburnum

Disease and Pest Control of Viburnum

1. Peak growing season

Although the magnolia is not picky about its growing environment, it does not mean that its growth rate always remains on one line. Like all flowers, the magnolia can only grow particularly fast at a specific time. But while we are happy about its growth, we must not forget that pests and diseases are actually the most dangerous organisms at this time. If we often use fertilizer on it and the amount of fertilizer is not much each time, and the leaves still turn yellow, we should understand that it is the pests and diseases that make the leaves lack nutrition. At this time we should take measures to treat diseases and pests. Generally speaking, we will choose ferrous sulfate solution. If we spray this solution on the leaves, it can effectively kill the hateful diseases and pests. However, we must pay attention to the proportion of the solution. If it is too much or too little, it is not good. So everyone must see clearly that we need to use one thousandth of the solution.

2. Rainy season

In fact, the magnolia itself was very vulnerable to insects at that time. This was because it had a very good characteristic, that is, its leaves actually had a lot of hairs, so pests and diseases could not harm its roots. However, despite its strong defense function, its lower epidermis was its weak point, and the degree of keratinization here was not high, so some pests and diseases took advantage of this characteristic. They could secrete certain substances, and these substances could dissolve this thin layer of cuticle, thus providing a considerable possibility for the invasion of pests and diseases. This usually happens during the rainy season, so we must pay attention to it when the rainy season arrives and take good measures to protect the magnolia. Our general measure is to spray pesticides. This pesticide is a commonly used insecticide, so there is no need to worry about it being difficult to buy. It is called Bordeaux mixture.
