Rose leaf diseaseLeaflet disease is a common physiological disease of roses in the north. Here we will teach you how to prevent and control it. Rose leaflet disease occurs on tender shoots and young leaves, and the disease is more obvious when roses sprout in spring. The diseased branches sprout late, and after the leaves emerge, the leaves are small and slender, hard and brittle, with upward leaf edges, and the leaf color is lighter yellow-green, and the leaf color is uneven. The tips of new shoots are slender, the internodes of branches are short, and the fine leaves are clustered in a rosette shape. The diseased branches grow weakly. The disease usually affects the entire plant. The incidence of rose leaf diseaseRose leaf disease is caused by zinc deficiency, which is an essential element for the synthesis of auxin. In zinc deficiency, free and bound auxin are significantly reduced, leading to growth stagnation. Low zinc content or imbalance of other trace elements in the soil can easily cause zinc deficiency. When the zinc content in the leaves is lower than 10 to 15 ppm, symptoms of zinc deficiency will appear. Prevention and treatment methods of rose leaf disease① According to the fertility of the local soil, apply appropriate amount of organic fertilizer and trace elements to improve the soil. ② Combine basal fertilizer application in spring and autumn with zinc sulfate. For rose gardens that are deficient in copper or magnesium and thus zinc, compound fertilizers containing magnesium and copper should be applied at the same time to achieve significant preventive and therapeutic effects. ③ When the rose buds sprout in early spring, spray the branches with 0.3~0.5% zinc sulfate, 1~2 times a year; before flowering, spray 300 mg/kg zinc cyclopentaneate, and after flowering, spray 0.2% zinc sulfate plus 0.3% urea or 300 mg/kg zinc cyclopentane or 300 times amino acid zinc solution, which has a significant effect on reducing diseases. |
