What to do if blue stone lotus has black rot

Black rot

Black rot of blue stone lotus is mostly caused by saprophytic fungi. This problem often occurs when succulents are dormant due to high temperatures in the summer and their resistance is low. There is currently no specific medicine to solve this problem.

Black rot does not only occur in succulents, but can also occur in other animals and plants. It’s just like food is prone to mold and animal wounds are prone to infection in summer. Therefore, black rot of blue stone lotus is a relatively common pathogen. Don’t worry about it. As long as you understand the treatment methods of black rot of blue stone lotus, you can save the life of blue stone lotus.

what to do

①Cut off the rotten parts and cut them cleanly. Any black parts will continue to rot. In summer, just put it in the sun (around 9 o'clock) for half an hour to disinfect and sterilize it, or apply carbendazim and put it in a cool and ventilated place. Don't rush to put it in the pot. It is better to pot it on the second day.

②Water in small amounts. Maintain moisture at the roots, provide adequate shade, and don't take too much care of it.

Precautions

It should be noted that the blue stone lotus must be kept cool and dry, otherwise it will easily get black rot if placed in moist soil. Since succulents have no roots and cannot absorb nutrients, they will absorb nutrients from the bottom leaves, so the bottom leaves will turn yellow and wither. This is normal.
