Fennel pest control

Fennel pest control

Diseases

powdery mildew

In the early stage of the disease, white spots will appear on the leaves of the plant, and then slowly expand. In severe cases, the entire leaf will become necrotic.

Botrytis cinerea

This disease mainly harms the leaves and petioles of the plant. When the disease occurs, it will cause the leaves and petioles of the plant to rot and decay.

Root rot

As the name suggests, the main damaged part is the roots. If it is in the seedling stage, it will directly lead to the death of the seedling. If it is in the mature stage, this disease will cause root rot, and the plant can be pulled out of the potting soil with a slight pull. In severe cases, it can cause the death of the entire plant.

Sclerotinia

This disease mainly harms the petioles and stems of the plant. After being infected, they first become soft and then slowly rot.

Viral diseases

It can harm the entire plant, with the leaves becoming wrinkled after being infected. It can also hinder the normal growth of the entire plant and affect flowering and fruiting.

Pests

aphid

This pest will first damage the leaves of the plant and it reproduces very quickly. If it is not stopped in the early stages, it can spread throughout the plant in a very short time. In severe cases, it can cause plant viral diseases, leading to the death of the entire plant.

Prevention and treatment methods

When pests and diseases are found, they can be cleared manually in the early stage, and then fungicides can be sprayed. In the middle stage, special drugs should be used for spraying. In the later stage, the parts with serious pests and diseases should be cut off, and then the pots and soil should be changed and replanted, and then drugs should be sprayed for prevention and control.

First of all, we need to improve the breeding environment. When the temperature is high, we should pay attention to cooling down and increasing air circulation.

When watering daily, be sure not to allow water to accumulate in the soil, and do not keep the soil in a wet state for a long time.
