What types of flower pots are there

Plastic flower pots

Plastic flower pots are the most common type of flower pots. They are lightweight, colorful, and easy to use, but they have poor air and water permeability. Plastic flower pots are widely used in soilless cultivation, for planting Cyperus, Monstera, Calla Lily, and Dieffenbachia, and can also be used to grow seedlings.

Porcelain Basin

Porcelain basins are made of porcelain clay and coated with colored glaze. They have a clean and elegant appearance and beautiful shape, but their drainage and air permeability are poor. When used as a cover for a clay pot, porcelain plates can be used to decorate interiors or exhibit flowers.

Marble Basin

Marble basins are made of natural stone. They are colorful but heavy in texture, so it is best not to place them on the table.

Sandstone Flower Pot

Sandstone flower pots are carved from fine sandstone, come in a variety of colors, and are made of top quality material.

Purple clay pot

Zisha pots, also known as ceramic pots, are exquisitely crafted and have a simple and elegant appearance, but they have poor water and air permeability and are not suitable for planting flowers and trees. They are usually used as pots for flower displays in living rooms and reception rooms.

Clay Basin

Clay basin is also called mud basin or unglazed basin. It is made of fired clay and is divided into two types: red basin and gray basin. Clay pots are cheap and practical, with good air permeability and water permeability, making them suitable for planting transplanted plants. The appearance of a clay pot is rough and it is usually used as a pot for bulbous flowers.

Water basin

The water pot has a large surface and no drainage holes at the bottom. It is often used to grow aquatic flower pots, such as "lotus pots", "daffodil pots", "hyacinth bottles", etc.

Cement Basin

Cement pots are sturdy and durable, and the surface can be beautified by spraying paint, but they have poor air and water permeability and are heavy. They are generally used to cultivate small trees and are arranged into small bonsai styles. Covering the surface of the potting soil with a layer of moss can increase the aesthetics.

Iron Basin

Iron basins have a unique metallic luster, but their air and water permeability are poor. When used for growing plants, holes can be drilled in the bottom and a waterproof layer can be added inside.

Wooden Basin

Wooden pots have good air permeability, but they are easy to breed bacteria, so wooden flower pots also need to be preserved.

Homemade flower pots

Flower lovers use various common items in daily life to make flower pots, which are low-cost and unique in appearance.
