Disease and Pest Control of Tea Rose

Disease and Pest Control of Tea Rose

1. Powdery mildew

Powdery mildew is a common disease of roses. It is very harmful. Most of the time, the initial infection occurs in late May, and then it begins to spread continuously in June and July. When the leaves are damaged, a layer of white powdery substance will grow on the surface, and the tender shoots are not spared. In severe cases, the leaves may begin to fall off slowly or even die. At this time, we need to carry out timely targeted treatment. During the spring growth, we can alternately use some medicines to spray it appropriately. After spraying the medicine, the white powder position will turn dark gray, slowly begin to shrink and disappear. The peak period of its outbreak is during the autumn rainy season. During this period, you must spray the medicine several times to minimize the damage and directly prevent and control it thoroughly.

2. Black spot

This is also the most common disease that tea roses are infected with. Its remains usually spend the winter with the tea roses, and will be spread by splashing in the rain or when watering, and can also be spread by insects. Generally, the most suitable temperature for causing the disease is around 26 degrees, or it is a season with relatively heavy rainfall. Newly planted or weakly growing plants are especially more vulnerable. We should clean up the fallen leaves in time and remove some diseased leaves in time. In winter, we should also prune those diseased plants significantly, and be careful when watering, and not spray them.

3. Aphids

Aphids also cause great direct harm to it. They will suck the juice and nutrients from the tender shoots of the plant, which will directly cause the flower buds to grow very deformed and lack nutrition. It will also indirectly make it easy to be infected with other diseases. Then we need to spray some medicine on its plants in time, basically once every 7 days, and 2 to 3 times will be enough.
