Is there any way to save the golden sedge if its leaves wilt?

Reason 1: Just changed the pot

I just bought some golden sedge from the market. After planting, the leaves on the edges will turn yellow and wilt to varying degrees. This is normal and will slowly recover after 1 to 2 weeks. If these leaves return to golden color, you can continue to maintain them. If they do not recover, you can cut off the surrounding withered leaves. As long as it is properly maintained, it will grow back soon.

Reason 2: Overcrowding

Golden Senna grows very quickly and requires a large growing space. Once it grows too densely, the leaves will droop to the outside of the pot. Although it looks beautiful, the ventilation and light transmittance of the lower leaves are relatively poor, and the humidity is relatively high. Over time, the stems and leaves will gradually turn black and rot. More seriously, it will induce diseases and pests, causing the death of the entire plant.

Reason 3: Poor ventilation

The air circulation conditions in the maintenance environment are very important. If the environment is stuffy, it will easily cause stem and leaf rot, especially in early summer. The potting soil is already moist, and the sun is sufficient to cause moisture to evaporate and rise. If the environment is not breathable, the part of the golden spathiphyllum close to the ground will easily rot.

Rot is different from withering. Do not leave rot alone, otherwise it will easily cause bacterial diseases and spread to the entire pot. Cut off the rotten parts and branches, provide appropriate shade and control water, increase ventilation, and place it outdoors for maintenance when the weather is warm.

Reason 4: Insufficient sunlight

In conditions where there is insufficient sunlight, it is easy for golden sphenanthera to grow too tall. The original pot-protecting grass will become a hanging pot grass, and the long leaves will gradually wilt. In fact, these phenomena can be avoided and remedied.

Ensure sufficient sunlight during maintenance. Once you find that the plant is growing tall and wilting, cut off the branches immediately and replant them. The remaining mother plants will quickly resume growth.
