Flying Dragon Beheading Method

Flying Dragon Beheading Method

1. Prepare tools

Before beheading, you must prepare the right tools first. Because its stem is relatively thick, scissors are not suitable and can easily cause squeezing and scars. You can prepare a sharp knife, which must be sterilized and cannot be used directly. You should also prepare carbendazim or wood ash for sterilization and disinfection, so that you can easily apply it to the wound for sterilization. The entire plant has sharp thorns, so you can prepare a pair of gloves to prevent being pricked.

2. Find the right position

Beheading is usually because the plant has grown too tall, causing it to be too high and affecting its ornamental value, so the choice of location should be determined based on the extent of its growth. If the degree of growth is severe, the location can be chosen to be biased towards the root, with the upper part elongated. If the degree of legginess is mild, the position can be closer to the top and less of the upper part can be cut off.

3. Begin beheading

After putting on gloves, hold the top of the plant, and use your other hand to hold the knife and cut down at the selected position. Cut in one step, cleanly and neatly, and ensure that the wound is smooth.

4. Subsequent Operations

The cut parts can be slightly dried and then planted in the sand bed. For old plants that have been beheaded, the wound should be kept away from water.
