What should I do if the roots of the algae bell jade are rotten?

Causes of root rot in Algae Bell Jade

To a certain extent, the root rot of the algae bell jade is caused by excessive watering or excessive fertilization.

In addition, a single type of soil can also cause rot. If the soil is breathable, excess water will flow down and will not cause flooding, especially in the rainy summer season.

If too much water is poured and it cannot flow out or evaporate in time, it will cause oxygen deprivation and rot of the plant roots to a certain extent.

If ventilation is not good after watering, the water cannot evaporate in time and accumulates in the soil, which can also cause root rot.

Treatment methods for root rot of algae bell jade

Step 1: Pull out all the algae bell jade, clean the roots, and then cut off all the moldy parts. Remember to cut them all off, leaving no part!

Step 2: Carefully apply carbendazim to the wound, and then let it dry. About three days will be enough.

Step 3: Re-root the dried Algae Bell Jade. There are many ways to do it. You can dry it on the mouth of a bottle, put water underneath but do not touch the roots; you can also replant it in granular soil and let it take root slowly.

Step 4: Place the planted or bottle-mouthed algae bell jade in a well-lit place indoors, but be careful not to expose it to direct sunlight, and also pay attention to indoor ventilation. Wait until the algae bell jade has taken root and gradually stabilized before watering it. Don't water it at the beginning! In one to three weeks, the algae bell jade will start to take root and grow again.

In addition, one thing we need to pay attention to is that in summer, you can often loosen the soil of the algae bell jade to allow it to breathe, which is good for the algae bell jade. You can also use Tree Protector in combination with Genshitong Capsules to irrigate the roots, which can effectively prevent and control rot diseases.
