How to Grow Turf

1. Level the land

Planting turf has high requirements for soil. Before planting, the land must be leveled and the small stones on it must be cleaned up so as not to affect the later lawn planting.

2. Improve the soil

Planting has certain requirements for the soil, which needs to ensure air permeability and drainage, so the loam needs to be improved. Sprinkle perlite, river sand and humus on it, and make sure to spread it evenly. In order to ensure adequate nutrient supply, the base fertilizer must be good and sprinkled with decomposed organic fertilizer. This can not only supplement nutrients but also will not irritate the soil. If there is no organic fertilizer, you can choose a compound fertilizer with a suitable ratio.

3. Laying the lawn

Before laying the lawn, you need to first tidy up the soil layer, without large undulations, keep the soil flat, and then lay the turf on it, making sure there are no gaps between each piece of turf, and the gaps cannot be too large, otherwise the growth effect will be poor.

4. Rolling and watering

If the planting area is small, you can use a shovel to beat it hard. If the area is large, you can use a roller. It should be done at least three times to ensure that the soil layer and the turf are in full contact. After that, you can water it. Make sure to water it thoroughly the first time.
