How to plant red spider lily

How to plant red spider lily

1. Planting time

The best time to plant red spider lilies is spring and autumn. It is recommended to do it around April or May in spring. If you plant them at the best time, they will not only grow faster but also bloom earlier.

2. Prepare the soil

Before planting, you need to prepare suitable potting soil. The size of the flowerpot should be moderate, and its air permeability and drainage should be good enough. The soil should be acidic soil containing humus, and avoid heavy clay soil, which has poor drainage and will directly affect the germination and growth of seeds.

3. Planting

Put some stones at the bottom of the flowerpot, and then put the prepared soil in. Don't fill the flowerpot to the brim, just about 80% of it will be fine. Then dig a hole in the soil, fix the seed head upwards, and then cover it with a layer of soil, with the pointed end of the seed on the soil surface.

4. Planting and maintenance

After planting, you can water it less often and place it in a semi-shaded environment. Do not expose it to direct sunlight when it is just planted. Finally, just wait for it to grow and bloom.
