Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of Ranunculus

Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of Ranunculus

1. The soil is too alkaline

1. Reason: If the soil used for planting Anemone is too alkaline, especially in the northern region, after long-term cultivation and watering, the nutrients in the soil will be lost too quickly and the soil will become hardened and the land will easily become salinized. Salinization can cause poor absorption, resulting in yellowing of the leaves.

2. Treatment method: Drain in time, ventilate and dry the soil. If it is a potted plant, you can directly remove it from the pot and let it air dry before replanting. If it is planted in the ground, loosen the soil, fill with sand, absorb moisture and reduce watering. Wait for the problem to improve before watering normally.

2. Too much fertilizer

1. Reason: If excessive fertilizer is applied, it may burn its roots and cause the plant to turn yellow. This causes the root system to be unable to grow and develop smoothly, resulting in insufficient nutrient absorption, which leads to the problem of yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: Watering is required immediately to allow nutrients to be lost from the soil. If the soil is severely compacted, replant with loose, fertile soil. If the situation does not improve, it may be serious. Remove excess leaves and rotten roots and replant.

3. Too little watering

1. Reason: Long-term lack of water will weaken its photosynthesis, resulting in insufficient chlorophyll production in some leaves and the leaves gradually turning yellow.

2. Treatment method: Add water immediately, increase the watering frequency, and add some fertilizer appropriately. Use the watering method of watering thoroughly as soon as the soil in the pot is dry. Water it thoroughly as soon as the soil in the pot is dry. Keep it watered and the situation will generally improve quickly.
