Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of grape hyacinth

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of grape hyacinth

1. Improper watering

1. Reason: Long-term excessive watering will cause young leaves to turn yellow and dull, while old leaves will not show obvious changes. Yellowing of leaves caused by long-term lack of water or too little watering is manifested by the old leaves turning yellow and falling off from the bottom to the top, while the new leaves are generally normal.

2. Treatment method: If you water too much, you should water sparingly. If it is too waterlogged, you can remove it from the pot, place it in a cool place to dry and then replant it. In case of water shortage, water thoroughly immediately and increase the amount and frequency of watering appropriately until the condition improves.

2. Temperature is too high

1. Reason: It is not resistant to high temperature and high humidity. Poor ventilation in hot summer will cause yellowing. If the temperature is high and the soil is too dry, the leaf tips will often turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: When dealing with branches and leaves that have turned completely yellow, pay attention to ventilation and cooling. Bring it to a cool place indoors for cultivation or provide it with appropriate cooling and shading until the leaves improve.

3. Improper fertilization

1. Reason: Too high a concentration of fertilizer or too much fertilizer will cause the tips of new leaves to turn yellow-brown and old leaves to dry and fall off. Long-term lack of fertilizer will cause the roots to clump together, and poor absorption will cause the leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: If there is too much fertilizer or the concentration is high, the machine needs to be stopped immediately for fertilization. Spray water to clean and make the fertilizer flow away, thus reducing the amount of fertilizer applied. If there is a long-term lack of fertilizer, change the pot in time to check the root condition, and then fertilize on time.
