Causes and treatments of yellow grape leaves

Causes and treatments of yellow grape leaves

1. Unsuitable soil

1. Reason: Excessive salinity in the soil will cause the physiological state of the grapes to become unbalanced, and the utilization of nutrients will be hindered, resulting in the problem of yellow leaves. Soil compaction can also affect the nutrient absorption of tree roots, causing yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: Soil acidification can reduce soil salinity. Using soil acidification method to prevent and control grape yellow leaf disease can effectively reduce the pH value of local soil and promote the conversion of some insoluble iron in the soil into effective iron. Loosen the soil more often to avoid soil compaction and enhance the root system's ability to absorb nutrients.

2. Insufficient light

1. Reason: It is a light-loving plant. If there is insufficient light, the leaves will turn yellow. If the plants grow too densely, they will block the lower branches and leaves, resulting in insufficient light and yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: Trim excess branches and leaves on time, maintain internal light transmission and ventilation, and allow the plants to have sufficient exposure to light. Avoid keeping it in the shade.

3. Lack of Iron

1. Reason: Lack of iron will make it prone to yellow leaf disease, which will cause the leaves to wither and turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: Grape yellow leaf disease caused by iron deficiency can be treated by burying bottles underground to absorb iron. Fill a 100ml bottle with a ring of ferrous sulfate solution, dig up the tree circle, find roots about 0.5cm thick, insert them into the bottle, plug the bottle mouth and bury it in the soil. Bury 2 bottles for each plant. After about a week, the leaves of the diseased plants will turn green again.
