Causes and treatments for yellow rose leaves

Causes and treatments for yellow rose leaves

1. Lack of iron

1. Reason: Flowers in greenhouses often have yellow leaves because the soil fertility varies greatly. Its characteristics are that the leaf flesh is yellow in color and the veins are green in color and form a network. This feature is most obvious in new leaves.

2. Treatment method: The problem can be solved by applying additional ferrous sulfate aqueous solution fertilizer in a ratio of 7:5:200 of cake fertilizer to ferrous sulfate to water. Use it 3 to 4 times in a row. Be careful not to use too much each time.

2. Pest damage

1. Reason: Common pests such as beetles and cutworms have been rampant in recent years. If they gather among roses and eat them at will, they will cause great damage to the leaves, flowers and roots, causing yellowing leaves or even death.

2. Treatment method: During the period when pests are prevalent, the pests that are already in the rose bushes need to be killed by spraying compound insecticides. Then the surrounding sheds should be properly isolated to prevent pests from entering and causing harm.

3. Human factors

1. Reason: Improper management during maintenance may cause yellowing of rose leaves or even death. If the timing of watering is not appropriate, for example, some flower lovers use well water with a groundwater temperature of only 12 degrees for watering in hot summer conditions, the temperature difference will be too large, which will overly stimulate the leaves and roots, causing yellow leaves to fall off.

2. Treatment method: The time for watering should be determined according to the soil temperature. Choose the appropriate watering time to avoid roses becoming sick due to human negligence.
