Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of zapota

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of zapota

1. Too much light

Reason: The yellowing of the leaves of the lily of the valley may be caused by too strong light. The leaves are easily dehydrated under strong sunlight, which causes yellow leaves.

Solution: Move the plant to a cool and ventilated place first. Then add some water or spray some water on the leaves to allow the leaves to recover slowly. After that, place it in a place where it can receive scattered light or semi-shade. In the summer when the sun is strong, be sure to block or avoid it in time.

2. Excessive fertilization

Reason: Although it likes fertilizer, it cannot tolerate concentrated fertilizer. Concentrated fertilizers can easily burn the roots, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

Treatment: When the situation is mild, you can increase the amount of watering to allow the fertilizer to flow out from the drainage holes and dilute the fertilizer concentration in the soil. When the situation is serious, it is necessary to immediately replace the container with a new one and replant and maintain it.

3. Too little watering

Reason: Zinnia is an aquatic plant and has a high demand for water. If the plant lacks water, the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Move the flower pot to a cool place immediately, spray some water on the leaves, and water it in small amounts. As the plant gradually regains its upright position, gradually increase the amount of watering. If you are growing zephyranthes in a container, be aware that its water requirements vary in different seasons. In spring, shallow water is mainly used, which is conducive to increasing the growth temperature and promoting rooting and germination. In summer, deep water is mainly used to prevent the water temperature from being too high and damaging the plants. Control water appropriately in autumn and winter to allow it to safely spend the winter.
