How to solve the problem of yellowing and falling leaves of glass jade

How to solve the problem of yellowing and falling leaves of glass jade

1. Proper shade

Reason: Glass Jade should not be exposed to strong light. The scorching sun will bake the plant, which will easily cause its leaves to lose water, causing them to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: Place the glass jade in a cool and ventilated place, wait for it to recover slowly, and then expose it to light appropriately. It needs shade in the summer and can be placed in the sun in the winter. Turn the flower pot every week to ensure that it receives even light.

2. Drainage and root pruning

Reason: Too much water causes water to accumulate in the pot, which will hinder the breathing of the roots of the glass jade, cause it to rot, and cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: After draining the accumulated water in the pot, take the plant out of the pot, remove some of the old soil, and check whether the roots are rotten. After cutting off the rotten roots, you can disinfect them with potassium permanganate solution and then replant them. Do not water too much on a daily basis, and take shelter from rain in time during the rainy season.

3. Supplement fertilizer

Reason: Lack of nutrients for plant growth can also lead to poor growth of glass jade, causing the leaves to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: It is generally caused by nitrogen deficiency, but do not apply nitrogen fertilizer excessively, as this will cause it to grow too tall. Use compound fertilizer and apply it once every 8-10 days. Dilute the fertilizer before applying to avoid burning the roots.

4. Increase humidity

Cause: The air is too dry, causing the water in the leaves to evaporate, causing them to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: Increase the humidity of the air. You can spray water on the leaves or sprinkle water on the ground to increase the humidity. If it is too dry, you can put a bag on it after spraying water to create an environment with higher humidity.
