What to do if the leaves of gardenia turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of gardenia turn yellow

1. Reduce watering

Reason: If you water too much during maintenance and the soil in the pot is too wet, there will be water accumulation, which will cause the newly grown leaves to stop growing, the old leaves to turn yellow, and may even fall off.

Solution: If it is too humid, move it to a ventilated place to let the water evaporate as soon as possible. If there is water accumulation, remove the pot and place the soil in a cool and well-ventilated place to dry, and put it back after it is dry. In the later stage, attention should be paid to reducing the amount of water and water accumulation is strictly prohibited.

2. Maintain ventilation

Reason: It needs an airy environment and a certain degree of humidity during its growth period. If it is kept in an airtight environment, the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Place it on a well-ventilated windowsill during maintenance, or open the window frequently to ventilate it, and it will recover soon.

3. Suitable lighting

Reason: If it is placed in a cool place for a long time during maintenance, yellowing will occur. Of course, if it is exposed to strong light, the leaves will be sunburned and turn yellow.

Solution: If it is maintained in a cool environment, move it to a sunny place in time. If it is exposed to strong light, move it to a place with scattered light, spray water appropriately, and lower the temperature.
