Nivea blooms in a row

Nivea blooms in a row

Meaning of Ping Peng

When people hear the word "Pingpeng", they often think of wandering and having no fixed residence. This comes from the Tang Dynasty poem by Du Fu, "Moss and bamboo are my favorites, duckweed has no fixed place to stay." But in fact, the "duckweed" in the poem does not refer to "duckweed grass", and duckweed grass is not a floating plant, its roots are fixed in the soil at the bottom of the water.

What does it mean when duckweed blooms in a row?

This interesting phenomenon illustrates the survival instinct of the water lily. The water level in wild waters often changes due to climate or other environmental changes. Nappa relies on small insects for pollination, so the flowers must find a way to stand out of the water as the water level rises or falls. Moreover, only one flower blooms at a time, so that each flowering can attract insects and there is no waste at all.

Nivea blooms in a row

A plant of Daffodil only blooms one flower at a time. When the flower withers, the other flower buds will emerge from the water, forming a "queue" phenomenon of blooming. Moreover, the flower stem will only bloom when it is six or seven centimeters above the water surface. When the flowers are about to bloom, if you add water to raise the water level, the flower stem will grow rapidly and rise to about six centimeters above the water surface before blooming. If you lower the water level by about six centimeters when the flower stem just emerges from the water, the flower stem will stop growing and will bloom after about six days. As for the flowers that have already bloomed, add water to cover the height of the flowers, and the flower stem will grow taller again, allowing the flowers to emerge from the water.
