What to do if the wintersweet leaves look burnt

What to do if the wintersweet leaves look burnt

1. Reduce watering:

Reason: Wintersweet is a drought-tolerant plant that is afraid of waterlogging. Therefore, do not water it excessively or too frequently when growing it. Too much water will cause root rot, the roots will not be able to absorb nutrients, and the leaves will become yellow, as if burnt.

Solution: Reduce the amount of watering, don't water too much at one time, drain it in time during the rainy season, wait until it is dry before watering, and water thoroughly when you do.

2. Apply fertilizer appropriately:

Reason: Applying too little fertilizer or too long an interval between fertilizations can easily lead to nutrient deficiency, which can cause the leaves to appear burnt. Also, do not apply too much fertilizer to avoid root burns.

Solution: Apply fertilizer in moderation at normal times, not too little or too much, and do not apply too much fertilizer at one time.

3. Eliminate pests and diseases:

Cause: The burnt leaves are usually caused by black spot, a fungal disease that causes the leaves to look burnt.

Solution: At this time, the diseased leaves should be removed in time. You can cut off all the diseased leaves to reduce the source of infection. You can also spray the pesticide at the same time to completely eliminate the disease.

4. Increase light reception:

Reason: Wintersweet likes sunlight, and many people will put it in a certain location and leave it alone. The sunlight will be in different positions at different times, and if it is fixed in the same position, the light will be uneven, or it may not even be exposed to sunlight, which will cause this situation.

Solution: Let it receive appropriate sunlight and do not place it in the shade for a long time.
