What to do if there is a problem with the leaves of crystal palm

Crystal palm leaves are dull in color

Crystal palm prefers a warm, humid and semi-shaded growing environment, and special attention should be paid to ventilation so that the leaves can breathe fresh air.

When the ventilation is poor and the plant is placed in a very cool place without light, the color of its leaves will become dull, which will affect the appearance of the plant.

Solution

Note that it should be placed in a bright place in the morning and at night when it is dark, which will help the leaves grow and develop;

When the light is strong at noon, move it to a semi-shaded place and pay attention to shading to avoid burning the leaves and making the leaf color gradually darker.

Pay attention to ventilation at ordinary times, but avoid facing the air outlet directly. The ventilation time generally does not exceed 2 hours a day.

Crystal palm leaf rot

The leaves of crystal palm begin to rot, usually because of excessive watering and unreasonable fertilization.

Crystal palm likes a humid environment, but too much watering will cause root rot, which will then extend to the leaves, causing them to turn yellow and gradually rot and wither.

When too much fertilizer is applied, it will burn the root system of the crystal palm, affecting the growth and development of the leaves, causing the leaves to gradually wither and rot due to lack of nutrients provided by the roots.

Solution

Be sure to pay attention to watering control. In dry and hot seasons, you can water the plant with enough water, but do not let water accumulate in the soil. You can also spray water droplets on the surface of the leaves from time to time to keep the leaves moist and shiny.

In winter, be sure to water less and do not water unless the soil in the pot is dry or completely dry.

Fertilization should be defined according to the growth conditions of the plants, which grow small and slow. You can apply more fertilizer, but not too much. You can water the plants after fertilizing. This will dilute the fertilizer and help the plants absorb it.

Plants that grow fast also need to be fertilized to ensure the supply of nutrients. Generally speaking, do not apply too much fertilizer, and do not apply raw fertilizer to protect the healthy growth of the roots.
