How to make Chinese evergreen bloom and where to pick the tips

1. How to make the pot explode

1. Suitable soil: If you want to grow Chinese evergreen to the point where it fills the pot, you must provide suitable soil. It must have good permeability and be rich in humus. You can directly buy nutrient soil for cultivation, or you can mix garden soil, perlite, river sand, and decomposed fertilizer in a ratio of 3:2:1:1. Change the potting soil every 2-3 years and provide new soil to maintain growth.

2. Adequate sunlight: The growth of Chinese evergreen cannot be separated from sunlight. If there is insufficient light for a long time, it will cause the Chinese evergreen to grow too tall, affecting its ornamental value. It can be kept in a semi-shady environment at ordinary times. It is best to be exposed to diffuse light, 2-3 hours of diffuse light every day, and the light can be increased in winter.

3. Temperature requirements: The most suitable temperature for the growth of Chinese evergreen is around 18-25 degrees. Try to keep it within this temperature range. Take measures to keep warm and frost-proof in winter, and keep the temperature above 10 degrees. Maintaining a suitable temperature can promote growth and make the leaves lush.

4. Water and fertilizer management: Water regularly during the growing period, and the air humidity should be kept at around 70% to be suitable for growth. In order to achieve full-scale growth, reasonable topdressing is also crucial. Apply decomposed liquid fertilizer every 15-20 days during the growth period.

2. Where to pick the heart

The main purpose of pinching evergreen is to remove the top buds. Pinching can be done when the plant grows to about 10 cm.
