How to plant rapeseed

1. Planting

Select a plot with loose and fertile soil, convenient irrigation and drainage, and where rapeseed has not been planted for more than 2 years as the seedbed. Sow and prepare the soil, keep the bed surface moist, and water it in time during dry weather, otherwise it will affect the germination rate. After sowing, cover the seeds with fire ash and spray sethoxydim to prevent weed growth.

2. Transplantation

Rapeseed seedlings are transplanted when they have 5-6 leaves. When transplanting rapeseed, the transplanting requirements should be strictly followed. While handling the transplanting technical control, the preliminary preparations should also be done well, such as plowing and land preparation on the seedbed, and appropriate fertilization should be applied to ensure that the soil in the seedbed is fertile, which is conducive to the later growth of rapeseed.

3. Water and fertilizer management

When entering the flowering period, attention should be paid to fertilization. Usually, fertilization is needed twice, mainly nitrogen fertilizer. After entering the flowering period, rapeseed should be supplemented with fertilizer, and inter-row cultivation and weeding should also be carried out at this time, while pests should be controlled. Make decisions based on the current growth stage of the rapeseed. Do not water too much or too little. In the later stages of planting, be careful not to stop watering too early. You can gradually reduce the frequency and amount of irrigation to ensure the growth and quality of rapeseed. Appropriate isolation work should be done for plants affected by insect pests to avoid large-scale damage to rapeseed due to infection.
