How to Make Clivia Bloom

How to Make Clivia Bloom

1. Get more sun

If you want the Clivia to bloom, you must let it get more sunlight. It should be placed on a windowsill with good light indoors and given sunlight time all day. This will allow it to photosynthesize better, thereby prompting the flower stems to sprout faster and accelerate flowering. However, be careful to avoid strong sunlight in summer and do not expose the plant to direct sunlight, otherwise the plant may be easily burned.

2. Increase the temperature difference

Clivia likes a warm environment, but if you want it to bloom, you need to pay attention to the temperature difference. It should be provided with an environment of about 20 degrees during the day, and the temperature should be lowered at night. It is best to control the temperature at around 10 degrees. After such a temperature difference, flower buds will be produced in about a month. If it is exposed to more sunlight, it will bloom smoothly. If one temperature is maintained for a long time, it will be difficult for the plant to bloom.

3. Adequate fertilizer

Its growth is naturally inseparable from nutrients. If you want it to bloom successfully, you must ensure that it has sufficient nutrients. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied frequently in spring and autumn so that it can accumulate enough nutrients and maintain flowering.

4. Drugs to promote flowering

If the plant has not bloomed after being cultivated for a long time, you can go to the flower shop to buy a special arrow-promoting agent, add an appropriate amount of clean water, and then drip it into the potting soil at the roots or near the roots. This can stimulate growth and promote faster flowering.
