Breeding method of Zephyranthes

Breeding method of Zephyranthes

1. Loosen the soil

When cultivating Zephyranthes, it has a very tenacious vitality, and the most basic soil factor must be ensured to be good. The soil can be a mixture of garden soil, leaf mold, river sand, and coal slag. The prepared soil should be breathable and nutritious, and the soil needs to be replaced after one or two years of cultivation.

2. Sufficient light

Adequate light is also very necessary. The breeding location must ensure sufficient sunlight and maintain sufficient daylight. It cannot grow in a shady environment, otherwise its flowering will be affected. However, the light in summer is too strong, so you need to block it appropriately to prevent the strong light from directly burning the leaves.

3. Water in time

Although Zephyranthes can tolerate drought, in order to promote its growth, water must be replenished in time. Appropriate watering should be used to maintain good humidity, and the amount of water must be controlled so that no water accumulation occurs.

4. Reasonable fertilization

Adequate fertilizer can meet the needs of growth. Organic fertilizer can be selected as the base fertilizer, which can continuously provide nutrients. Top dressing should be applied in time during the later growth period, and top dressing should be applied once every once in a while. Sufficient nutrients can make the bulbs grow and expand, and promote good flowering.

5. Maintain temperature

Zephyranthes can withstand high temperatures and prefers a warm environment. The suitable temperature for its growth is around 22-30 degrees Celsius. In winter, you should keep warm and keep the temperature above 10 degrees Celsius.
