The growing environment and local conditions of kumquat

Kumquat Growth Environment and Conditions

Kumquat prefers a warm and humid growing environment. It needs sufficient sunlight when caring for it, but it is necessary to avoid strong light in summer. It is not very drought-resistant, so it is necessary to water it in time to keep the soil moist. It is generally not found in the wild and is mostly planted in Taiwan, Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi in my country.

Kumquat Growing Conditions

When caring for kumquat, a relatively warm environment is needed. Appropriate shade is needed during the high temperatures in summer. When planting, soil rich in humus can be used.

Kumquat Growth Temperature

When kumquat is growing, if the temperature is lower than 10 degrees, it is best to move it indoors for maintenance. In winter, the temperature should be kept at around 12 degrees, otherwise it will affect its growth.

Kumquat Growth Process

Kumquat does not shed its leaves all year round, and its leaves are all dark green. It usually blooms in spring with white flowers. After the flowers fall, the fruits begin to grow. The small fruits in summer are green, and gradually grow larger as they grow. They will mature in autumn, when the leaves are full of golden fruits, which is very beautiful.

Kumquat planting time and method

Kumquats are generally planted in spring, but they can also be planted in November each year. When planting, the seeds used should be free of pests and diseases, which are more conducive to growth. The soil used should also be loose and fertile. During normal maintenance, there must be sufficient sunlight.
