How to grow pennywort more luxuriantly in winter

How to grow pennywort more luxuriantly in winter

1. High temperature

When you grow pennywort in winter, it never grows new leaves and the old leaves turn yellow. In fact, there is only one reason: the temperature is too low. If we want the pennywort to grow vigorously in winter, we must provide it with a high-temperature maintenance environment, such as a heated room.

2. Multiple Lighting

In addition to the high temperature, if you want to grow coin grass in winter and want the plant to have lush branches and leaves, you also need to get more sunlight. The light in winter is warm and soft. It can be said that the stronger the light and the longer the light time, the better the plant will grow.

3. Moist soil

If you want the pennywort to grow vigorously in winter, it is actually easier to grow it in soil than in water. Choosing fertile soil for planting is better than growing it in water or adding more nutrient solution. Keep the soil moist at all times in winter, and water it in time if the soil surface feels a little dry.

4. Fertilize frequently

If you want the pennywort to grow vigorously, you must fertilize it. However, when fertilizing in winter, you must keep the temperature high and grow the pennywort in a heated room. You can often water it with cake fertilizer water, fruit peel water or fish water to supplement nutrients for the plant.

5. General ventilation

If you want the pennywort to grow vigorously, you need high temperatures, watering, and fertilization. However, if the doors and windows are closed in winter and the maintenance environment is not ventilated, it will easily cause the plant to have yellow leaves and root rot, and even cause diseases and insect pests. Therefore, you need to ventilate frequently when the temperature is high at noon.

6. Heavy Pruning

The pennywort will bloom after being grown for a long time, and the flowering will consume a lot of nutrients of the plant. After the flowers fade, a large number of yellow leaves will easily appear, the plant growth will deteriorate, and no new leaves will grow. At this time, you can shave the head to let the pennywort grow again, and it will soon become lush.
