Mint's water requirements

Mint's water requirements

1. Mint likes water

Mint is a water-loving plant and requires a relatively large amount of water, especially in the early and middle stages of growth. It requires more water and needs to be watered more frequently. The provision of water can affect its growth and development. Taking into account the factor that it likes water, in addition to normal soil cultivation, you can also directly carry out hydroponics, and change the water regularly during the maintenance process.

2. Watering management

1. Frequency: There is no fixed frequency for watering mint. The climate, growing environment and growth conditions are different in different seasons, and these factors all affect the frequency of watering. The generally safe way is to water when you feel the surface of the potting soil is dry, and don't water if it is still relatively moist. Normally, water it once every 2-3 days. In summer, watering should be more frequent, and you can water it once a day to maintain good growth. In winter, watering should be reduced as appropriate, and water can be given once every week or so. For mint planted in the ground, it has its own supply of natural precipitation and there is also moisture under the soil, so if watering is too frequent, you can water it every 15 days.

2. Amount of water: Mint is very easy to grow and requires little management. Do not water it too much. Make sure to water it thoroughly each time. Do not leave any water in the pot.

3. Water quality: The water quality can be river water or rain water, or tap water that has been left to stand.
