How to prolong the shelf life of roses, how to keep roses fresh

1. Add preservatives

If you want to extend the shelf life, you can buy preservatives, which are generally sold in flower shops. Just add them according to the instructions. After adding it, it can purify the water, promote it to absorb water, and prevent flowers from withering. As long as it is used correctly, the flowering period can be extended and it can be preserved for more than three weeks.

2. Tea preservation

Tea contains some nutrients, such as tea polyphenols, which can prolong the shelf life of flowers. Under normal circumstances, roses can only stay fresh for a week, but if placed in tea, they can stay fresh for about half a month.

3. Pruning branches

If you want to extend its shelf life, you must pay attention to maintenance methods and prune the branches frequently. Change the water frequently during maintenance, preferably once a day, and prune every two days, cutting off a part of the bottom of the branch, and cutting it obliquely so that the water absorption surface will be larger, which can absorb water better and extend the shelf life.

4. Avoid strong light

Although it is a plant that likes light, it should not be exposed to strong light during the flower branch preservation stage, otherwise the water and nutrients of the flowers will evaporate more quickly, and they will wither faster. Usually, just place it in a ventilated and semi-shaded place. If the environment is suitable, its shelf life will be extended.
