Local pond fish breeding techniques

The catfish is also called the catfish, commonly known as the catfish, also known as the bearded carp, sticky fish, and catfish fish. The surface of the mullet has no scales, is rich in mucus, has delicious meat and is rich in nutrients, and is deeply loved by consumers. Let’s learn about the local pond carp breeding techniques below.

1. Breeding method

Pond carp can be cultured in ponds , small courtyard ponds, rice fields , etc. Pond aquaculture has high yield and density, while aquaculture in small courtyard ponds and rice fields can be self-sufficient.

2. Release of fish fry

The breeding of catfish can be divided into two methods: mixed breeding and pure breeding. Polyculture means that in a pond where the four major carps are raised, 150 to 200 fish can be raised per acre. No special feed is needed, and 15 to 25 kilograms of catfish can be harvested per acre. Pure breeding takes advantage of the solid pond foundation, convenient irrigation and drainage, and the water depth can be controlled at about 1.5 meters.

3. Pay attention to water quality

Tang carp can tolerate low-oxygen water environments, but that doesn't mean you don't have to pay attention to water quality issues. Long-term breeding practice has proved that good water produces good fish, and good water produces big fish. Poor water quality can easily cause fish to become sick. The water can be changed every 15 days or so, with the amount of water changed being 1/3 of the pond water. Monitor the water quality once every 10-15 days using rapid water quality testing equipment. If you find changes in water quality, you can use products such as quicklime , or microecological preparations such as EM bacteria and photosynthetic bacteria to adjust the water and improve the bottom.

4. Pay attention to the amount of feeding

Tang mullet is a voracious fish with a large appetite, so pay attention to the quantity when feeding it.
