Is baby's breath a perennial or an annual? How to make dried flowers

Is baby's breath a perennial or an annual? How to make dried flowers

1. Perennial or annual

Gypsophila paniculata is a perennial plant. It belongs to the genus Lithospermum of the Caryophyllaceae family. If it is properly maintained, it can continue to be cultivated for 3-5 years after flowering. When cultivating it, you need to place it in a place with good sunlight, because it likes light, so more sunlight can make it grow more vigorously. Watering should be done after the soil is dry, and attention should be paid to good ventilation of the maintenance environment.

2. Methods of making dried flowers

1. Dry naturally: First, prune the baby's breath appropriately, such as removing the flowers that are not growing well, and then tie up its branches. Then hang it in a dry room and ensure good ventilation. Note that the bouquet cannot be placed close to the wall, otherwise it will affect the viewing experience. The bouquet will be dried after being placed for about half a month.

2. Microwave drying: This method of making dried flowers is very fast. Arrange the baby's breath, then place it in the middle of the card and secure it with a rubber band. Finally, put it in the microwave, turn on low heat, and take it out after about 10 seconds.

3. Press and dry with a book: First, cut the stems of the baby's breath short, and then put it in a book. The book should be thick, otherwise it will be difficult to press it into shape. However, if the dried flowers are placed in water for air drying, the shape of the flowers is likely to be destroyed.

3. Notes

When storing dried flowers, they should be placed in a ventilated and dry place and not exposed to the sun, as the color is likely to fade after exposure to the sun. When cleaning normally, just use a hair dryer, but make sure to turn it to a low wind.
