What are the breeding methods and precautions for Gypsophila manshurica

Growth habits of baby's breath

Gypsophila paniculata is distributed in areas with an altitude of 1100-1500 meters, and is commonly found in river beaches, grasslands, rocky hillsides and farmlands. This plant has strong adaptability to the environment, takes root quickly, and is suitable for growing in a sunny environment. It likes loose, fertile, well-drained slightly alkaline sandy loam with a pH value of about 7.

Gypsophila breeding method

1. Appropriate temperature

Gypsophila likes warmth but is not resistant to high temperatures. The most suitable temperature for its growth is between 15-25 degrees. High temperature will cause water evaporation to accelerate, causing the plant to wither due to lack of water, while low temperature will cause Gypsophila to suffer from frost damage.

2. Adequate lighting

Gypsophila loves light and needs sufficient light to satisfy photosynthesis during its growth period. However, it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the plant will be burned. Therefore, it needs to be shaded and cooled in summer.

3. Water and fertilizer management

Gypsophila likes water. Spring and autumn are the periods of vigorous growth, so water it every 3-5 days. In summer, the temperature is high and evaporation is fast, so water it every 1-2 days. In winter, the temperature is low, so water it every 7-10 days. In addition, when growing gypsophila, apply diluted compound fertilizer every 10-15 days.

Precautions for maintenance of baby's breath

In the process of maintaining baby's breath, the potting soil should be replaced every spring, the roots should be pruned, and dead and diseased branches should be removed in time to promote the plant to grow stronger. After replanting, the baby's breath should be placed in a ventilated environment for maintenance.
