How to grow moss well and what should you pay attention to when growing moss

In order for moss to maintain its condition for a long time, in addition to temperature, the intensity of light source also affects its growth state. When moss is arranged on a vertical trunk, the light intensity at the top is strong, and it grows rapidly and densely, while the lower end receives less light and grows slowly and thinly. In order to ensure uniform light reception, it is best to trim the top moss regularly to ensure that the moss on the trunk is on a vertical plane.

Moss breeding tips

Moss grows best in water temperatures of 25 degrees or lower, and should not exceed 30 degrees, otherwise it will turn yellow and rot. It is best to receive five to six hours of light a day. Proper provision of special water-soluble fertilizers for aquatic plants is beneficial to the growth of moss. The water needs to be changed frequently. Failure to change the water for a long time will lead to slow plant growth. It can only grow better with the stimulation of new water.

Moss maintenance points

In summer, if the water temperature is too high, the moss will turn yellow easily. You can move it to a cooler place for maintenance, or change the water to lower the temperature. It is also okay to put ice cubes. It is best not to use an electric fan to lower the water temperature. Although moss likes shade, it should also be placed in a place with light for maintenance, otherwise it will turn yellow collectively. When fertilizing, do not use fertilizers for terrestrial plants, which will burn the roots and cause the plant to die.
