How to water the peacock ball

How to water the peacock ball

1. Frequency

The peacock ball continues to grow in summer and stops growing in winter. In the two growing seasons of spring and autumn, you can water it once a week to ensure that there is enough water for growth. The soil in the pot cannot become dry and make it difficult for the roots to absorb water. During the winter dormancy period, growth has stopped and there is naturally no excessive demand for water. If the environment is relatively humid, you can directly not water it. If the environment is relatively dry, to be on the safe side, you can water it once a month, and keep it relatively dry overall.

2. Water volume

The amount of water is not needed too much, just make sure it is watered thoroughly, and do not leave the roots unable to absorb water. This is very important, because too much water will cause water accumulation in the potting soil, making it difficult for the roots to breathe, leading to suffocation and rot.

3. Time

The time for watering is different in different periods. In the three seasons of spring, summer and autumn, you can choose to water in the morning or evening. Especially in summer, you must avoid watering at noon to prevent the water temperature from being too cold and causing shock to the roots. In winter, take out the water in advance and place it indoors. Wait until the water temperature reaches a certain level, and then water it at noon when the weather is good.
