How to Make African Jasmine Bloom

How to Make African Jasmine Bloom

1. Supplement sunlight

Sunlight is the first factor for flowering. It cannot be kept in a shady environment all day. Only by ensuring sufficient sunlight can flowering be promoted. Usually, the place where it is placed should be in the sun as much as possible. Except in summer, ensure that it is exposed to 3-4 hours of direct sunlight every day. Especially in autumn and winter, supplementary sunlight is very important. If there is not enough sunlight at home, you need to move it outdoors to dry in the sun every once in a while.

2. Add phosphorus and potassium fertilizers

During the growing season, especially when it comes to the period of nurturing flower buds, it is important to supplement phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. These two elements promote the formation of flower buds. Pay attention to the balance of nutrient ratios and reduce the application of nitrogen, because nitrogen fertilizers will cause the plants to grow too tall, but hinder the differentiation of flower buds, and nutrients cannot be concentrated on the flowers.

3. Ensure temperature

The growth temperature must be maintained within an appropriate range. High or low temperature environments will affect flowering. When the temperature is high, you can cool it down by spraying water around it, and also pay attention to ventilation.

4. Pay attention to pruning

Pay attention to pruning at ordinary times, remove yellow and dead leaves in time, reduce nutrient consumption, accumulate enough nutrients, and ensure good flowering.
