How often should plum blossoms be watered?

How often should plum blossoms be watered?

1. How often should I water?

During the growth process of plum blossoms, the water requirements of the soil are not very high, but in order to make it grow faster, try to keep the soil slightly moist. Under normal circumstances, it should be watered once every 7-10 days, but the frequency of watering cannot be completely fixed, because the temperature in each period is different, so the frequency of watering must also be adjusted accordingly.

2. Watering method

Usually, watering should be done after the soil becomes dry. The watering method is very simple. Just slowly pour water into the soil until the entire soil in the pot is moistened. Most flower pots have drainage holes, so to determine whether they have been watered thoroughly, you can observe whether there is water flowing out of the drainage holes. If so, it means it has been watered thoroughly.

3. Notes

1. When the temperature rises, you can water more frequently, and the time for watering should also be chosen carefully. It is recommended to do it in the morning. In winter, it is just the opposite. It is the peak flowering period, so you must not water it too much, otherwise it will accelerate the withering of the flowers.

2. If you accidentally water too much, you must take appropriate drainage measures. If it is a potted plum blossom, you can tilt the pot to drain out the excess water. But if it is planted in the ground, a drainage system will be needed.
