When and how to plant cucumbers?

1. Planting time

The best time to plant cucumbers is in spring, when the temperature is above 18°C. Therefore, it can be planted around March in the southern region, and around April in the northern region. In addition, it can also be planted in late May to mid-June in summer, and in July and August in autumn.

2. Planting Method

1. Select a planting site: When planting cucumbers, it is advisable to choose a place with a soil pH between 5.8-7.8 and good drainage and a certain fertilizer retention capacity. In addition, make sure the planting site receives enough sunlight.

2. Select seeds: When planting, it is advisable to choose seedling varieties with high yield, strong disease resistance and heat resistance. Select disease-free, healthy seeds for planting.

3. Prepare the land: first turn over the soil in the planting area and apply a small amount of manure as base fertilizer. Then, build a ridge with a width of 1-2m and a height of more than 25cm in the north-south direction.

4. Planting: Wash the selected seeds and place them in a wetland at about 25℃ for germination. After it sprouts, sow it in the seedling box with a spacing of about 25 cm. After it grows two young leaves, transplant it to the bed at a spacing of about 25 cm and take care of it slowly.
