How to care for climbing roses

How to care for climbing roses

1. Soil requirements

The soil must be breathable, loose and have a soft texture. The root system is the most important factor for growth. Suitable soil is conducive to growth. Try to choose a fertile place for ground planting. If it is planted in a potted plant, you can mix leaf mold, peat soil, vermiculite, etc., which can have a good effect.

2. Provide sunlight

Sunlight is an important condition for growth, and sufficient bright light must be provided, which not only promotes the synthesis of nutrients but also ensures the quality of flowering. If it grows in the shade for a long time, it will be affected. At the same time, pay attention to avoid strong light and cannot grow under the scorching sun.

3. Apply moisture

Because the branches and leaves are lush, they require more water and need to be watered in time to prevent them from drying up due to lack of water. The demand varies in different seasons. In spring and autumn, which are the growing seasons, you can water them every other day. In summer, when the temperature is high and the evaporation is large, you can water the plants twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. The growth rate slows down in winter, so apply small amounts and control watering.

4. Apply fertilizer

It blooms in large quantities, so it needs sufficient nutrients. In addition to applying base fertilizer, you should also apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before and after the flowering period to promote flowering.
