To care for your money tree in winter, master these “3” tips and the leaves will remain evergreen and not turn yellow!

To care for your money tree in winter, master these “3” tips and the leaves will remain evergreen and not turn yellow!

1. Pay attention to the amount of watering

In summer and autumn, because the temperature is relatively high and the evaporation intensity is high, we usually water the money tree with sufficient water. However, we have to make changes in winter, otherwise it may directly lead to water accumulation and root rot. The roots of the money tree have poor absorption capacity in winter, so the amount of watering should be controlled at this time. It is best to water it thoroughly at one time, and then wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering again to ensure growth.

2. Pay attention to the curing temperature

The money tree is not a particularly cold-resistant plant, so in winter we need to move it indoors early for maintenance. Generally, it is best to control the temperature of the money tree at around 15 degrees in winter. This way, the leaves of the money tree will remain evergreen and will also promote new buds in the next year. If the maintenance temperature is below zero, the leaves of the money tree will turn yellow and fall off.

3. Open windows for ventilation

Because the weather is cold in winter, many flower lovers do not like to open windows for ventilation, which will have a certain impact on the growth of the money tree. Because we do not ventilate in time, the cleanliness of the air in the maintenance environment cannot be guaranteed, which will lead to the breeding of bacteria. At this time, we need to open the windows regularly to ensure the air is clean, which can promote the growth of the money tree.
