How to propagate the noon flower

How to propagate the noon flower

1. Seeding method

(1) Time control: If this method is used for reproduction, then March to April is more suitable. Because it is spring, the time when everything comes back to life, and the temperature is more suitable, this is our primary consideration.

(2) Select a container: This step is for sowing in containers such as flower pots. If sowing in the open field, then the next step is to select a sowing site.

(3) Selecting the substrate (soil): We must consider many factors when making the selection, such as whether the soil has good drainage, good air permeability, etc. In addition, in order to provide sufficient nutrients for the seeds, we can mix some manure or compost into the soil, which can effectively increase the success rate of sowing.

(4) Seed treatment: Soak the harvested seeds in warm water for a while. This is not a necessary step. However, if this step is taken, the seeds can germinate earlier.

(5) Formal sowing: Sprinkle the seeds in a container or on the soil at the sowing site, spread them as evenly as possible, and then cover them with a thin layer of soil. Keep the temperature and humidity at the best conditions. If the seeds are not treated, they will germinate in a week to ten days; if they are treated, they will germinate earlier.

(6) Transplantation: By mid-June, the seedlings will have grown to a sufficient height for transplanting.

2. Other methods

In addition to the seeding method, other methods are occasionally used and will not be described in detail here.
