When is the best time to plant zinnias?

Generally speaking, March to June in spring are the best time to plant zinnias. If planted within this time range, the seeds will germinate faster. It can also be carried out in autumn from August to October, but its germination rate is not as high as in spring. Usually, when the temperature is above 15℃, you can plant with confidence.

1. Prepare seeds: Buy some high-quality seeds. It would be better if they are seeds picked that year. Old seeds are not conducive to germination. Before planting, potassium permanganate should be used for disinfection, but the soaking time should not be too long, half an hour is enough.

2. Choose soil: The choice of soil for planting is very important. Whether the cultivation soil is loose and clean will directly affect the germination of seeds. You can prepare leaf mold, river sand, peat and some perlite and use it after disinfection.
