What to do if the leaves of cyclamen turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of cyclamen turn yellow

1. Reduce watering

Reason: Although cyclamen likes water, it is also afraid of waterlogging. Too much watering will cause water accumulation in the soil, which will then damage the root system of the plant. This way, it will not be able to absorb nutrients from the soil normally, resulting in yellowing leaves.

Solution: Reduce the frequency of watering the cyclamen and place the flowerpot in a ventilated place to allow the moisture in the soil to evaporate.

2. Increase lighting

Reason: Insufficient light may cause the cyclamen to be unable to carry out photosynthesis normally and unable to synthesize chlorophyll normally, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Move the cyclamen to a sunny place for maintenance.

3. Spray water to increase humidity

Reason: Cyclamen prefers moisture. If it is in an overly dry environment for a long time, it will not be able to grow normally, and its leaves will wilt and turn yellow and look lifeless.

Solution: Pay attention to the humidity around the cyclamen. If it is too dry, use a spray bottle to spray some water mist around it, or place a basin of clean water next to its flowerpot to increase the humidity.

4. Apply fertilizer in time

Reason: If it lacks nutrition for a long time, its leaves may turn yellow.

Solution: Apply some fertilizer or nutrient solution in time, but be careful not to add too much at one time. Apply fertilizer in small amounts and multiple times to facilitate its recovery.
