How to identify the diamond seal

How to identify the diamond seal

1. Stem

The stem of the diamond plant is cylindrical, with more branches in the upper part and 5 inconspicuous ridges. The ridges are arranged in a spiral shape, the color is green, and the pith is nearly pentagonal.

2. Blades

The leaves of King Kong are alternate, fleshy, usually in five rows growing on the ridge at the top of the young branches, obovate or obovate-oblong or spoon-shaped, about 4.5-12 cm long, about 1.3-30.8 cm wide, with a small convex tip at the apex, obtuse, gradually narrowing at the base, entire, short petiole, unclear veins, and thorn-like stipules.

3. Flowers

The inflorescence of King Kong is dichotomous and axillary, with a petiole at the base, 2 bracts, and broad bell-shaped bracts with semicircular lobes and ciliate edges, which are like inward curves. There are multiple male flowers with filamentous bracts, and one female flower.
